Janice Eleanor Morris

MORRIS, Janice Eleanor (nee Finke), age 91, of Dayton passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011. Janice was an active member of the Oak Creek United Church of Christ and the KSSC (Kettering South Senior Citizens.) She graduated from Stivers High School and Cedarville College. She taught for over 25 years for the Kettering School system spending most of her time at Ernst Elementary School as a beloved kindergarten teacher. Janice led an active life, enjoying many hours sewing, cooking, painting, singing in her church choir, playing cards and various board games. She and William, her husband of 61 years, loved traveling and wintering in Florida. She was loved by family and friends alike and will be greatly missed. Janice was preceded in death by her husband William Morris; and sisters, Suzanna Teepe and Kathryn Jurkat. She is survived by her daughter, Annette (Bruce) McCreadie; son, Thomas Stanford (Angela) Morris; and granddaughters, Ashley McCreadie and Lauryn McCreadie. Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Oak Creek United Church of Christ, 5280 Bigger Road, Kettering . Funeral services will begin at 11:00am following the visitation also at Oak Creek Church of Christ. Burial at David’s Cemetery.
