LIVELY, Janice Irene, age 54, of Kettering, passed away at her home on Friday, August 27, 2010. She attended Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa and finished her B.A. in English at University of Iowa. Jan completed her M.A. in technical writing from Iowa State University. She had a successful career in major gifts and grants at Graceland College, Grinnell College, University of Arkansas, University of Pittsburgh, and University of Dayton. Jan was a founding member of the Noble Circle Project, a nonprofit organization that serves women thriving beyond cancer by providing support and teaching whole food nutrition and complementary healing practices like qigong. She was also a board member of the Cancer Support Community - formerly the Wellness Connection. Jan continues to give the gift of her vision to live beyond cancer and to live connected on a daily basis to the primal energy of the universe, just as she did for so long. Jan was full of quiet grace and deep trust peppered with laughter and fun. Preceded in death by her father Herbert Lively. Jan is survived by her mother Mary Lively of Bella Vista, AR; her son Ian Kelly of Longmont, CO; sisters Joan Becker of Netarts, OR and Judy Lively of Arkansaw, WI; and brother Brent Lively of Bella Vista, AR. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 5:30PM at Hills and Dales Metropark at the PawPaw Pavilion, with a reception to follow. The family thanks the women of the Noble Circle Project, the caregivers of Hospice of Dayton and Dr. Mark Romer and his staff for their wonderful help and care.
