(nee Sullivan), of Kettering, died Tuesday, December 11, 2001, after a brief illness. She was a graduate of Dayton Art Institute. Jean was a member of and actively participated in David's United Church of Christ, Dayton Art Institute, The Dayton Society of Painters and Sculptors, Kettering Sister City Association, and the Kettering Moraine Museum and Historical Society. She was a Fraze Founder, a member of NCR Country Club, Kettering Citizen Award Committee, Engineers Club of Dayton, The Heritage Foundation, Charles McMicken Society of the University of Cincinnati, Aviation Hall of Fame, and was a charter member of the President's Club of the University of Dayton. Jean was a former member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church, Sycamore Creek Country Club and a past president of Fork and Fiddle Dance Club. Preceded in death earlier this year by her husband, Fred R. Armstrong. Survived by her daughter, Lynne Aracri, her husband, Jim and grandson, Tripp Walter, all of Kettering; grandson, Tripp Walther of Kettering; nephew, Paul Gruner of Beavercreek; niece, Nancy Gruner Fisher of Grove City, OH; nephews, Dale Schell of Muncie IN, Jack Taylor and Gary Sullivan, both of Dayton and Ted Sullivan of Colorado; and special friends, John and Evelyn Ferguson. A memorial service is planned for 11:00 AM, Friday, January 4, 2002, at David's Church, with visitation from 9:30 - 11:00 AM at the church. Details will be published at that time.
