Jeanette M Cox

COX, Jeanette M., age 96, of Sugar Creek Township, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Jeanette was born on September 20, 1920 in Manchester, KY to the late James and Fannie Myers. She was a long time member of the southern Baptist church. Jeanette was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known for her wonderful homemaking skills, but also spent many years working in the retail industry. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy V. Cox; sister, Maudie Hooker; and brothers, Lee and Ernest Myers. She is survived by her children, Roy Vernon (Jennie) Cox of Colorado, James D. (Stephanie) Cox of Zanesville, and Sandra (Tom) Parks of Sugar Creek Township; grandchildren, Lisa (Rick) Short, Shane (Erin) Cox, William (Becki) Westwood, and Tami (Skip) Tappan; great-grandchildren, Cole, Coen, Dylan, Landry and Victoria; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends from 11:00am-1:00pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering with a service to follow at 1:00pm. Burial in Bellbrook Cemetery. In memory of Jeanette, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
