Jeannette Marie Schmitt

SCHMITT, Jeannette Marie, age 88, of Washington Township, entered Heaven February 1, 2025. She was born September 19, 1936 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; the daughter of the late Keith and Rosemarie (Hauser) Jacobson. Along with her parents, Jeannette is preceded in death by her sister, Loralee and grandson, Chase. Jeannette is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Bob; children, Matthew (Elizabeth) Schmitt, Lisa (Douglas) Gilpin, Dan (Shawn) Schmitt, Mark (Joy) Schmitt, Jeff Schmitt, Rob (Cindy) Schmitt, Tim Schmitt, and Allyson (Sean) Brogan; grandchildren, Grace, Andrew, Joshua, Sam, Jessica, Addie, Caroline, Libby, Schuyler, Riley, Hailey, Skylar, Jagger, Ryan, Evelyn, Bennett, Laney, and Miles; great grandson, Brooks; sister, Karen Bloomquist; and numerous extended family members and friends. 

 In her free time, Jeannette was an avid Bridge player and also loved to shop, read, play board games, vacuum, swiffer, talk on the phone, and bake. She enjoyed sending greeting cards to her family and friends; she never missed a birthday or anniversary. Jeannette loved to be in the excitement of the moment—while she was usually the last to arrive, she was also certain to be the last to leave. Jeannette was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; she will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her. 

 A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Routsong CENTERVILLE, 81 N. Main Street, Centerville, OH 45459 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30AM at Church of the Incarnation, 55 Williamsburg Lane, Centerville, OH 45459. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
