Jeanette West

WEST, Jeanette, (Cook), age 80, of Springboro, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016. Jeanette was born on August 14, 1935 in Williamstown, KY to the late Spencer and Mamie Cook.

She graduated from Dry Ridge High School in KY then went on to earn her Bachelor's in education from Wittenberg University and her Master's in Education from the University of Dayton. Jeanette taught for over 35 years and she retired from the Springfield City School system. Jeanette volunteered at Kettering Hospital and was a long time member of Far Hills Church. She loved music and dancing, and enjoyed time spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Charles and William Cook. Jeanette is survived by her loving children, Debbie (Mike) Gilbert and Tammy (Mike) Parker; grandchildren, Grant Parker and Anna Gilbert; and sister, Mary Lou Neal.

Family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00pm with a 7:00pm funeral service on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH. Committal services will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY.
