Jeanne Cynthia Greene

Jeanne Cynthia Barker Greene passed on December 22, 2016 after a long difficult battle with Alzheimer's. Cyndy was born on August 1, 1937 in Warwick, RI to Richard A. and Ruth Nordin Barker. She met the love of her life Donald I. Greene and married him on November 28, 1958. After having her third child, they moved the family to Connecticut where she worked in Don's business as the bookkeeper and office manager. In her spare time, she was active in the Garden Club, Entertainment for the Westerly Yacht Club as well as den mother and team mom for her son. She enjoyed all kinds of card games with her favorite being Bridge. Cyndy's first and favorite job was working in Newport Creamery in Warwick when she was a teenager. She spoke of this job often in her life. When her children were younger, she enjoyed camping and entertaining at their house in Gales Ferry having barbeques and swimming parties as well as dinner parties. She also once had a hurricane party. She is predeceased by her Mother Ruth, Father Richard, Sister Beverly Barker Mooney and her beloved Donald I Greene. She is survived by her three children. Kerrie Soares and her husband Michael of Centerville, OH, David Greene and his wife Erica of Centerville, OH and Kristen Venditti and her husband Louis of Groton, CT. She also was very proud of her 9 grandchildren, Emily Gumbs, Heather Greene Owens and her husband Chris, Louis Venditti, James Venditti, Hannah Gumbs, Kelly Venditti, Raymond Greene and Allison Venditti.
