Jeffrey E. Butterworth

BUTTERWORTH, Jeffrey E., age 56, of Centerville passed away Friday, February 25, 2005. Jeffrey was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was a 1967 graduate of Vandalia Butler High School and a 1971 graduate of Ohio University where he played drums in the marching band. He was a former Business Administrator of Westminster Presbyterian Church for 17 years and most recently Business Administrator of the Broad Street Presbyterian Church in Columbus. Jeffrey was a member of the Dayton area chapter of the Ohio University Alumni Association. He enjoyed many special interests; all kinds of music, swimming, scuba diving and gourmet group. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Charles Butterworth in 2002. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Kathy Butterworth (nee Prater); his mother, Janet Butterworth; 1 sister, Jane Wessel; grandmother, Betty Somers; father and mother-in-law, Harold and Marcella Prater; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marcia (Jim) McNally; and 2 nieces. A memorial service will be held Monday, at 11:00 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 125 N. Wilkinson St., Dayton, Burial in David’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday, February 27th from 2-5:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
