Jeffrey Evan Brumfield

BRUMFIELD, Jeffrey Evan, age 64, of Centerville, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010. Born June 19, 1946 in Logansport, IN, Jeffrey graduated from Elkhart High School, got his B.A. in Archaeology from Wright State University and attended graduate school at the University of Cincinnati. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Jeffrey worked at Bowser Morner and later retired from PAVE Technology. He was a member of the Ohio Archaeological Society and the Church of the Incarnation Parish. Family was an important part of Jeff's life. He loved the outdoors, carving soapstone, flint and wood as well as talking about his fishing and wildlife trips to Alaska, Canada and other areas. Jeffrey is preceded in death by his parents Philip and Sara (Ewart) Brumfield; brother, Brian Brumfield; sisters-in-law Lori Brumfield, Auria Brumfield; and nephew Jeffrey N. Perkins. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Brumfield; sisters Janis (Jack) Lockard, Brenda (Pat) McCulloch; brother, Kevin Brumfield; mother & father-in-law Robert and Betty Ann Perkins; brothers-in law, Doug (Sue) Perkins, Greg (Deb) Perkins, Jeff (Monica) Perkins, Matt Perkins; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Perkins, Barb Perkins; nieces and nephews, Kelly Wheatley and her child Landon Wheatley, Keith (Erin) McCulloch and their child Sean McCulloch, Kurtis McCulloch, Mark (Kim) Lockard and their child Payton Lockard, Kevin (Elizabeth) Lockard and their child Jackson Lockard, Philip Brumfield, Jacob Brumfield, Taylor Brumfield, Tina Brumfield and her children Destiny, Kadin, Noah and Justice Cox, Erin (Tom) Bohn and their children Caroline & Carter Bohn, Chris (Heather) Perkins, David (Erica) Perkins, Mark Perkins, Stephen Perkins, Drew Perkins, Maria Perkins; and family pet Sable. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 5:00-8:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main Street, Centerville. Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 10:00AM at the Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville. Jeff loved nature, education and St. Jude's Hospital.
