Jewell Lorene ''Judy'' Mcreynolds

McREYNOLDS, Jewell Lorene ''Judy'' , age 81, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001. She was born in Willow, OK on May 24, 1920. The first child of three, she was raised in Erick, OK. In the early 1940's she moved to San Diego, California with her family where she married Huber Grady Waynick and had one daughter, Delores Ayn Waynick. This marriage ended in divorce and she eventually remarried Thomas H. McReynolds. She lived most of her life in San Diego, employed by the Federal Civil Service-Defense Department and was one of the original ''Rosie the Riviters''. In 1998, after her daughter and grandchildren moved to the mid-west, she reluctantly moved to Dayton, Ohio. Jewell's hobbies included quilting, arts/crafts, sewing, travel, and spoiling her great-grandchildren. She found Jesus and was saved in the summer of 2001. Jewell lived independently and strongly until her very last days and loved her family with all her heart. She will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Pond Roper and Delores Estelle McAdoo. Survived by a brother, Jerald Dean Roper of Mountain View, AR; a sister, Ruth Burdeen (Pat) Zullo of San Diego, CA; loving daughter and son-in-law, Delores Ayn and Dennis Michael Shipe of Battle Creek, MI; loving granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Judith Ann and Roger Lee Grant of Beavercreek, OH; loving great-granddaughters, Michaela Rae and Delaney Christine Grant; and loving nieces and nephews, Jerry Zullo, Bobby Zullo and family, Joan Torres and family, Steve Roper and family, Rick Roper and family and Joe Roper and family. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday in the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Burial in Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday in the funeral home. While selfishly saddened by her passing, we rejoice in the fact that she is with our Lord and Savior in Heaven. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
