Joan Grillmeier

GRILLMEIER, Joan, age 84, of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014. Joan was born to the late Andrew and Laurel Broaddus in Dayton, OH on March 31, 1930. Joan was a graduate of Fairview High School. She worked at Rike's Downtown for several years in the housewares department. She was an avid gardener and even spent her time tending to David's Cemetery flowers and pots. Joan was a member of David's United Church of Christ and a former member of the Outdoor Artists Garden Club. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Earl Grillmeier. Joan is survived by her daughter, Linda Grillmeier of Dayton, OH; son, Steve (Jenny) Grillmeier of Arcanum, OH; grandchildren, Chad (Jenn) and Jasmine; cousin, Mike (Debbie) Arnett; sisters-in-laws, Arlene Snyder and Phyllis Morris; brother-in-law, Raymond (Joyce) Grillmeier; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Family will greet friends for a visitation from 5-7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial at Shiloh Park Cemetery.
