Joan Hinkle

HINKLE, Joan age 85, of Kettering, OH passed away Thursday, April 9, 2009 in Kettering, OH. Joan was born in Newcomerstown, OH on August 12, 1923 to John & Mary (Wimmer) Schmueser. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hinkle in 1980. Joan was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and VFW Post # 9937 Auxiliary in Kettering. She worked for Ohio Bell as a telephone operator and in 1984 retired from First National Bank as a teller/receptionist. She is survived by five children; Cynthia Grant of Pueblo, CO, Robert Hinkle of Kettering, Susan Hinkle of Durango, CO, Donna Hinkle of Kettering, and Annette Hinkle of East Hampton, NY; eight grandchildren, one great-grandson and one sister; Mary Drake of Zanesville, OH. Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville, OH with Fr. Tom Schmidt officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday 6 to 8:30 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH.
