Joann B. Kelly

KELLY, JoAnn (Bowsher), age 91, of Dayton passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. She was born in Jackson, OH but had lived in Dayton for over 66 years. She attended Western College for Women in Oxford and was a long-time member of The Dayton Women's Club and The Philharmonic Volunteer Association. For many years she volunteered at the Kettering Hospital gift shop and the Little Exchange. She married Curtis Kelly, a senior scientist at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 2009. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Bosher Jones' children, Sally Jones (Col. Roger) McNamara, Jean Jones (Lou) Jindra and Casey (Sue) Jones; great-nieces and nephews, Megan Miller, Erin Hinsch, Jenny Wolford and Chris Jones; great-great-nieces and nephews, Cade, Bodhi and Ada Wolford, Trey and Reid Miller and Lauren Hinsch; and cousins, Ruth Tootle of Circleville, OH and Judith Carmichael of Seal Beach, CA. There will be no local services and burial will be in Jackson, OH at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420 or to the Children's Medical Center, One Children's Plaza, Dayton, OH 45404.
