John A. Buechler

BUECHLER, John A., an Air Force veteran, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 11, 2020. John was a licensed funeral director and embalmer, serving many Dayton families since 1974.

John enjoyed spending time flying RC Aircraft with his club W.O.R.K.S., serving as its president for five years. He had just purchased their lake home and got his boat running the previous weekend. One of John’s favorite ways to spend time was grocery shopping with Susan, which he did with great enthusiasm.

He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy (Brown) and his father Howard (Jack) Buechler. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Susan (Funk); his son, Bryan (Phyllis) of Mandeville, LA, and Jared (Mindy) of Tipp City, OH; his grandchildren, Victoria, Madison, Lauren, Hailey; and his great-granddaughter Alexis.

A private family service will be held at a later time. Services in the care of ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, KETTERING.
