age 88, of Oakwood, died Friday, January 25, 2002 at Miami Valley Hospital. He graduated from Oakwood High School and was valedictorian of the class of 1931. After graduating from Denison University in 1935 as a Phi Beta Kappa, he joined his father in the Olt Insurance Company where he stayed for 63 years, first as a partner with his father, Oscar and then with his son, John until his retirement. He was past president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Dayton and a past National President of the Denison University Alumni Association. John was also a member of the Junto Club of Dayton, Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, the Board of Independent Ohio Colleges and, since 1936, the Dayton Kiwanis Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Edna Olt and a sister, Susanne Deeter. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Jane; son, John G. of Kettering; 2 daughters, Nancy Jane Healy of Columbus and Mary Blake and her husband, Richard of San Francisco, CA; sister Elizabeth Byrne of Dayton and Florida; 5 grandchildren, Hope and Thomas Healy; Christopher Fraim and Alexander Fraim and his wife Katerina; and Jeffrey Olt. Memorial services 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 2rd at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 33 W. Dixon Ave, Oakwood; The Rev. Jack Koepke, III officiating.
