John Gray Olt

OLT, John G., age 64, died unexpectedly on January 4, 2008. He attended Oakwood High School and Denison University, and graduated from the University of Arizona, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He owned an insurance company in Dayton with his father for many years and continued to work in the insurance field until his death. John will best be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, irreverent sense of humor, positive outlook, and love for his father John E. Olt, who predeceased him; his mother Jane Gray Olt, currently residing at Sunrise Oakwood; sisters Nancy and Mary; children Glenda, Wayne, and Jeff; and his cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 33 W. Dixon Ave. in Oakwood with Rev. John F. Koepke III officiating. The family will greet friends in the cloister following the service.
