DONNELLY, John Robert, age 74, of Oakwood, passed away, Monday, May 19, 2003. He was Vice President of A.O. Smith Corporation and chairman of their electric motor division. A graduate of Notre Dame University, he served as an adjunct professor at Wright State University for over ten years. Jack served on the Oakwood City Council as Vice Mayor and was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Dayton Country Club and Slagle Trout Club. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Elizabeth; 3 sons and 2 daughters, John M. of Dayton, Ann M. (Michael Toth) of NY, NY, Dr. Thomas J. (Dr. Heidi Donnelly) of Dayton, William R. (Lori Donnelly) of Columbus, OH, Sarah (Dr. Jeffrey B. Hopkins) of MA; grandchildren, Rebecca and Margaret Toth, Andrew, Charles and Eleanor Donnelly, and Imelda Donnelly; sister, Mrs. William T. Rhoades; sister-in-law, Mrs. James F. Donnelly of MI. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 23, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, K. Street at Brown, Dayton with Father Joseph Goetz officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 4-7:00 PM, Thursday at the Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave., Oakwood.
