age 78 of Beavercreek, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001. He was an Army veteran of WWII stationed in India. John worked as a supervisor and retired from DESC in 1978. He was a licensed Amateur Radio operator - WB8WZS- and loved railroads and travelling. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy; 4 children, Mona Toms of Carmel, IN, Marsha Dunn of Miamisburg, Craig (Joyce) Furry of Tijeras, N.M. and Meg (Dave) Partin of Seattle, WA; 7 grandchildren, Ron Toms, Jennifer, Travis and Matt Dunn, Melanie Furry, Michelle Gallegos and Sarah Batista; and 2 beloved dogs, Buffy and Jasper. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday in the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Pastor Jerry Huhn officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Friday in the funeral home.
