John Robert Knauer

KNAUER, John Robert, age 45 of Washington Township, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2010. John was a graduate of Highlands High School, Miami University and Carnegie Mellon University where he received his Masters in Mathematics. After college, John served two years in the Peace Corps in Ghana, Africa and went on to work as a defense contractor at Northrop Grumman. John was a passionate father and husband who enjoyed reading, traveling, swimming and most importantly spending time with his family and friends. Preceded in death by his father-in-law, William "Buzz" Draugelis. John is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Draugelis Knauer and their young children, Michael James, Megan Jane and Maxwell William; his mother, Arlene Knauer; father, James Richard Knauer and his wife Elfriede; sisters, Stephanie Knauer and Sonya Racke; brothers Derek and Brian Knauer; In-laws, Jane and Robert Laumann, Patty Lehmkuhl, Mary (Jim) Dusseau, Patty (John) Duerr, William Draugelis and Peter (Emily) Draugelis; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends from 5:00�8:00PM on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, OH. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30AM at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville, OH. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton.
