John T. O'Brien

O'BRIEN, John T., age 54, of Washington Township, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 05, 2016. John was born on April 2, 1961 in Dayton to Robert and Irma O'Brien. He attended Chaminade Julienne High School and graduated from Belmont High School in 1979 then went on to earn his Engineering degree from University of Dayton in 1985. John was founder and President of Power Services LLC. He was a member of Church of the Incarnation and was active in the Alter Athletic Booster Club, St. Leonard's Council, Knights of Columbus #10215, and NCR Country Club. John was a gentle soul who had a way of making everyone he talked to feel comfortable. He enjoyed making people laugh and always wanted the last joke. John was passionate about working in his yard and took pride in his attention to detail. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. O'Brien, in 2010. John is survived by his wife of 24 years, Barbara; daughter, Rachel; mother, Irma O'Brien; siblings, Marge (Bill) Etson of Dayton, Dave (Barb) O'Brien of Hudson, OH, Mary (Greg) Pearlman of Chicago, and Bob (Erin) O'Brien of Charlotte, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby (Jean) Burgess; and 8 nieces and 5 nephews. Family will greet friends from 4:00-8:00pm on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
