age 84, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2005. Jack was born August 29, 1920 in Dayton, Ohio. He was a graduate of Steele High School Class of 1938. Jack served in WWII as a bomber pilot of The B-26’s. He flew 31 missions in the European Theatre with The 386th Bomb Group and 555th Bomb Squadron. Jack graduated from OSU Dental School in 1950 and OSU Orthodontics School in 1956. He was a life member of the American Dental Association and VFW. Jack was a member of The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, American Orthodontics Association, Great Lakes Orthodontics Association, Ohio State Dental Association, Dayton Dental Society, B-26 Historical Society, 386th Bomb Group Association and Class 43-D Association. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1997, Mary Eleanor Flory. Jack is survived by his daughter, Jane Ellen Schwartz and husband, Richard, of Dayton; son, David Lane Flory and wife, Juliet, of Arlington, VA; grandchildren, Amy Kress and husband, Brady and Jennifer Schmidt and husband, Jon; great-granddaughter, Katie Kress and special friend, Lee Christner. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 155 E. Thruston Blvd., Dayton with Rev. Gary Eichhorn officiating. Family will receive friends from 4-7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
