age 77, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2004. He was a veteran of U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War. John retired from Ohio Bell after 35 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0707 in Englewood and the Dayton VFW Post 7741. Preceded in death in 1996 by his wife, Phyllis; and sister, Anna Lois Webster. Survived by 2 daughters, Debra and her husband, Nick Popadyn of Bellbrook, OH and Cheryl and her husband, Kevin Lewis of Brooklyn Park, MN; 3 grandchildren, Allison Popadyn, Aaron Lewis and Jennifer Lewis; sister, Virginia Funderburg of Riverside, OH; and a niece and 2 nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Rev. Thomas Brown officiating. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assn., 24 N. Jefferson, Dayton, OH 45402.
