Joseph A. Belle

BELLE, Joseph A., age 50, died Sunday, July 9, 2000 at his home. Joe was currently Asst. Vice President for Student Development and Director of Residential Services for the University of Dayton. He received his undergraduate degree in 1973 and his Masters degree of Higher Education in 1975 from the University of Dayton. Member of NASPA, ACUHO, ACUI, ACED, Brown-Warren Business Association, Dayton Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Dayton graduate, 1995, Board of Directors-Dayton Urban League, 1996-1999. He was an usher and involved in several committees at St. Albert the Great. Preceded in death by mother, Norma Sagliano Belle in 1973. Survived by wife of 27 years, Barbara; children, Douglas, Nicholas and Laura of Kettering; sister, Annette (John) Buonanno of Chester, NY; father, Frank Belle of Kissimmee, FL; and mother-in-law, Betty Schwartz of Cincinnati, as well as many other family members. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday at St. Albert the Great Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave.Kettering , Fr. Jim Manning along with other University of Dayton Marianist priest officiating. Friends may call at the Roustong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave. at Irving Ave., Oakwood, from 2-5:00 P.M. and from 7-9:00 P.M. Monday. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery overlooking the UD campus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of Dayton Development Office for the Spiritual Garden Project, 300 College Park Dr, Dayton, Oh 45469.
