STERLE, Joseph Christopher, age 52, passed away at his home after a valiant year long battle with cancer. He was born March 6, 1953 in Cleveland, OH. Preceded in death by his father, Joseph Rudy Sterle and father-in-law, John W. Brown. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Linda J. Sterle; mother, Josephine L. Sterle of Cleveland and Dayton; sisters, Francine (Mike) Gugger of Dayton, Joette (David) Gdovin of Columbia, SC and brother, George Sterle of Cleveland; daughters, Stephanie and Ryan Sterle of Cincinnati. Also survived by mother-in-law, Marion J. Brown; brothers-in-law, Jere (Katie) Brown and Michael (Diane) Brown; numerous nieces and nephews and faithful dog, Mishu. Joseph graduated from Rocky River High School in 1971 and attended Cuyahoga Community College. Joseph was employed in the pet industry for 28 years. He was an accomplished musician and employed as a drummer at both Cleveland and Cincinnati Mad Hatter Night Clubs in the “70’s”. He was a lifelong Cleveland Browns and Indians fan, an avid Bonsai hobbyist, woodworker, model sailboat maker and fish keeping expert, but will be missed most for his sense of humor and charm. The family would like to thank Dr. Gregory Gordon, nurses, Mary M. and Milissa S. and the rest of the employees of Dayton Oncology for their compassionate care. Also would like to thank nurses of Hospice of Dayton for their care and support. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, October 17, 2005 at the Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville.
