Joseph Mcmilton Wilson

WILSON, Joseph M., M.D., 89, of Centerville passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Kettering Medical Center. Dr. Wilson was a cardiologist in the Dayton area until his retirement in the mid 80s. He served as Chief of Staff at Good Samaritan Hospital, was a member of the first medical staff at Kettering Medical Center and served on the staff at Miami Valley Hospital. Dr. Wilson received his undergraduate degree and his medical training at The Ohio State University. He was a longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he was a Deacon and an Elder. Dr. Wilson was a member of the Dayton Bicycle Club, Member of the Dayton History (formerly of the Dayton Historical Society), Nu Sigma Nu (medical fraternity), Delta Upsilon (social fraternity), member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Cardiologists and Faculty Emeritus at Wright State University School of Medicine. He was an avid member of the Medical Society Glee Club. Dr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Josephine Wilson and his brother, James M. Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Peggy Wilson; his three daughters, Nancy Wilson Knee (Bruce), Cynthia DAlimonte (Roberto), Carolyn Wilson; grandchildren, Amy Stockman, Marco and Carlo DAlimonte and great-grandchildren, Natalie and Ace Holmberg. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 1:00PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 125 N. Wilkinson St., Dayton, OH 45402 with Rev. Kay Davis-Dudding officiating.
