Joseph P. Mengwasser

MENGWASSER, Joseph P., 'Joe', age 42, of Oakwood, passed away Friday, August 29, 2003 at Hospice of Dayton. Joe enjoyed running, his neighbors, restoring his home, and the work he did for Habitat for Humanity. Joe was an active member of the Dayton Lions Club, chairman of the board of trustees for the Lions Eye Bank of West Central OH and on the board of directors of Tissue Banks International in Baltimore, MD. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Barb Mengwasser; parents, Katharine & Clarence Mengwasser of Madison, WI; 2 sisters, Jordan (Jeff) Hanson and Le (Bob) Jordan all of Madison, WI; mother and father-in-law, Mary & Don Wogoman of Bloomfield, NJ; and sister-in-law, Angie Cedar of Bloomfield, NJ. A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 4, 2003 at 5:30 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering; visitation will follow the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Joe requested that contributions be made to the Lions Eye Bank, c/o Angie Riddell, 1945 Southtown Blvd, Ste E., Dayton, OH 45439 or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
