Joseph Scott Conway

Conway, Joseph Scott, age 83, of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. Joseph graduated from DePaul Academy in 1941 and joined the Navy shortly thereafter. He is a veteran of WWII where he served as a radio operator. Joseph worked for various defense contractors throughout his career and enjoyed playing golf and traveling with his family. Preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Charlotte Conway and his brother, Philip Conway. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary (McIntyre) Conway; daughters, Patricia (Charles) Shepard of Colleyville, TX, Maureen Conway of Kettering, Sharon Conway of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kathleen (George) Fry of Colorado Springs, CO; sons, Michael Conway of Centerville, and Kevin "Casey" (Barb) Conway of Grayslake, IL 11 grandchildren; and sister, Margaret Maier. A Memorial Mass will held on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 10:30am at Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Dr., Kettering, with Father Chris Worland officiating. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 9, 2009 from 5-7pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
