SAKAR, Josip, age 80 of Dayton, formerly of Croatia, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010. Josip was a mechanical engineer with special interest in metals. He was a long time employee of Hobart, Dayton Scale Division and was a member of The Dayton Inventors Club, South Slavic Club and VFW Post 9927 in Kettering. Josip was a very creative man who had many patents and even had a formula to fix the Liberty Bell. Preceded in death by his parents, Vaclav and Ana (Hraski) Sakar, special aunt Mary (Hraski) Herren, and his sister Josipa Bozic. Josip is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann (David) Stanley; sons, Joseph (Mandy) Sakar. and Eugene Sakar; and grandchildren, Emily and Justin Stanley and Joseph A. Sakar. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 21, 2010 at 10:30AM at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45459. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service also at the parish. Burial to follow in Willow View Cemetery, Dayton.
