Joyce Ann Champlin

CHAMPLIN, Joyce Ann, 58 of Dayton died peacefully Saturday, October 04, 2008 after a brief battle with cancer. She was the loving and loyal partner of Patricia Hayes and the daughter of Phyllis and the late Thomas Champlin. Joyce was deeply connected to Pat's sons: Tim Berardinis and Chris (Heidi) Berardinis and their children Hannah and Jack. She is also survived by her beloved dogs, Merlelyn and Fuzzy, and many close friends. Joyce graduated from Wright State University with a degree in Geology and worked for the City of Dayton for the last 17 years as a chemist. Her first love was geology, along with the mountains, gardening, nature, golf and her boat. Visitation will be held 5-8:00PM Monday, October 6th at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Additional visitation will begin at 5:00PM on Tuesday, October 7th at the Miami Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 8690 Yankee St., Centerville, followed by funeral services at 6:00PM.
