Joyce Ann Jones

JONES, Joyce Ann, age 86, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Joyce was born on December 19, 1932 in Richmond, IN to the late Felton and MaryBelle (nee Kendrick) Harrison. She graduated from Oakwood High School and attended Monticello Junior College and Ray-Vogue Art School in Chicago. Joyce worked as an interior designer for L. Slayden Davis Interiors in Oakwood for many years. She enjoyed volunteering for many different charitable organizations such as Goodwill, St. Vincent De Paul and TWIGS. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, W. David Jones; brother, Dick Harrison; first husband, David H. Longstreth Jr. and second husband, Richard R. Brown. She is survived by her daughter, Dana Gale Longstreth (Jon Carlson); son, David Harrison Jones; and grandchildren, Clare Anna and Brendan Longstreth Gleason. The family will greet friends from 12:00-12:30pm on Saturday, February 2nd at Woodland Cemetery’s Chapel, 118 Woodland Avenue, Dayton OH with a memorial service to follow. A private family burial was held at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to Goodwill, St. Vincent De Paul, YWCA or a charity of your choice.
