Joyce Elaine Lindon

LINDON, Joyce Elaine Heinrich Nagel, age 76, of Centerville lost her battle with ovarian cancer Tuesday, April 25, 2017. She passed peacefully at Hospice of Dayton. She was born April 3, 1941 to the late Maurice Joseph Heinrich and Mary Agnes Cogan Heinrich. Joyce always put her family first and loved spending time with them. She truly enjoyed working in the yard & planting flowers. Her biggest passion was her children & grandchildren. Joyce always said that if she knew grandchildren were this much fun & enjoyment she would have had them first. Joyce also loved volunteering with her high school friend, Ann Bereda at the Schuster Performing Arts Center and The Loft. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Rita Heinrich Zimmer. She is survived by her four children; daughter, Deborah Lynn Nagel (Mac) McGaughey, son, Mark Alan Nagel, and her twins, Stephen Michael Nagel and Jeffrey Scott Nagel; Her grandchildren, which she adored; Nicholas Alan Nagel, Victoria (Tori) Nicole Nagel, Brittney Palmatier Nagel, Elijah Dean Nagel and Cody Austin Smith; one great grandchild; Orlando Palmatier. Joyce is also survived by her loving brother and sister-in-law, Paul & Donna Heinrich, as well as many nieces and nephews. Joyce was a deeply devoted mother and grandmother who always put her family first. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville. The family will greet friends following the service at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville until 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution in her name to Kettering Cancer Center or KH Network. Both these organizations were amazing in helping Joyce during her final days.
