Joyce Blair Von Gruenigen

Von Gruenigen, Joyce Elise Blair, age 92, of Kettering passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023. She was a graduate of Corbin High School, Kentucky. She received her BA from the University of Kentucky and was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She taught business in Kentucky and Ohio. She taught for decades in the Kettering City School System. In addition, she was the Activities Coordinator and Business Department Chairperson. 

Joyce was the President of the Kettering Optimist Club and was awarded the Optimist of the Year. She was an active member of Central Christian Church. 

She was a devoted Mother who enjoyed evening walks, reading, and watching old movies. 

She is survived by her son, Robert Blair, "Bob"; daughters Carol Jean and Vivian Elise; her grandchildren Jessica, Dominic, and Elise; and her great grandchildren Grimm and Rose.
