Judie Sherwin

SHERWIN, Judie, age 81, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. She was born on November 30, 1943, in Dallas, TX, to the late William and Tillie Moore, although she was raised in the Chicago, IL area where she graduated from Lyons Township High School in 1961. Judie continued her education at Sullins Junior College in Bristol, Virginia, and she eventually settled in Kingsport, TN and into a life of youth group leading and den mothering. In 1984, Judie moved to the Dayton area and began her career with Mead Paper and its eventual subsidiaries where she worked until retirement. Along the way, Judie also settled into farm life and the raising of Arabian horses and fancy chickens. Her barn remains legendary among the stray cat community, where, for years, countless felines found food and all received a name. In her life, Judie never greeted a single person without a smile, and, if it were possible, her loving and kind nature only increased through the challenges of recent years. She will be missed by all who both knew and loved her.

Judie is survived by her son, Jeff (Mindy) Stanley; her grandchildren, Jordan, Josh, and Jaryn Stanley; her brothers, Bill, Chris, and Phil Moore; and her very dear friend, Vicki Jacoby.
