Judith Lynn Moyer

MOYER, Judith Lynn, age 57 of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011 after a brave battle against cancer. Judy graduated from Bellbrook High School in 1972. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family. Her favorite time of year was Thanksgiving, a time when her entire family would gather together. She was an adventurous traveler who liked exploring new places and trying new things. Hiking, biking, segwaying, and zip lining were some of her favorite things to do. Judy also enjoyed touring Civil War sites led by her husband. Preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Elwood and Louise Higgins and her godmother, Margaret Bogart. Judy is survived by her loving husband of 37 years and best friend, Douglas Moyer; Daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Thomas and their children, Brittany, Kaitlyn and Sarah; Daughter, Christine (Anthony) Miller and their children, Dakota and Rachel; Daughter, Lisa (Ted Achladis) Moyer; Son, Nicholas Moyer; Birth Mother, Margaret Spicer; Godfather, Irvin Bogart; Brother, Richard (Tammy) Higgins; Brother, John Ward; Sisters, Barbara Purdue and Mary Profitt and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 E Stroop Rd, Kettering, OH. Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Brian Thomas officiating. Burial in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the wonderful caregivers at Hospice of North Central Ohio.
