Judy Preston

PRESTON, Judy, age 64, of Kettering, passed away on December 16, 2017. Judy was born on February 3, 1953 in Paintsville, KY and graduated from Kettering Fairmont East High School in 1972. Judy went on to earn her BA in accounting from Wright State and worked for the Wright State School of Medicine for over 30 years. She cared deeply for others and spent numerous hours taking care of her parents, children, and grandchildren. Judy was also passionate about helping animals, particularly dogs, and was a longtime member of Ratbone Rescue. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Billy and Dorothy (Redford) Preston. She is survived by her children, Jimmy (Sherry) Howard, and Jennifer (Sean) Hargrave; grandchildren, Tallie (Mike) McKinney, Tiffany Griffin, Gregory Foster Jr, and, Kyla and Jaxon Hargrave, great-grandchildren Bodie and Haley McKinney; brother Billy (Cecilia) Preston Jr.; nephews Shane, and Oscar; niece Jenna; and many friends and extended family. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5-7pm on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering, 45429. Burial at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SICSA Pet Adoption Center, 2600 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45419, or to the Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420. The family would like to thank Brenda Wolfe and Gordon Motley for the help and care they provided for Judy.
