O'Brien, Julia (Crimmings), age 53 of Centerville, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2002. She is preceded in death by her father, John D. Crimmings and her sister, Clare M. Crimmings. Julia is survived by her husband of 31 years, Dr. William F. O'Brien; daughter, Erin Elizabeth O'Brien of Washington, D.C.; mother, Margaret J. Crimmings of Lexington, MA; sister Dr. Anne Crimmings and her husband, Dr. Richard Russell of Worthington, OH; brother, John D. Crimmings Jr. and his wife JoAnn of Needham, MA; three nieces and four nephews. Julia received her Bachelor of Arts degree from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. She was a financial analyst at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and was Vice President of the Dayton Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). Julia volunteered at the Church of the Incarnation and served on Alumni Board of Directors at LeMoyne College. She was also a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, the Victoria Theater Association, and the Dayton Art Institute. Mass of Christian burial will be held, Monday, September 16, at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Incarnation, Centerville. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Westfield, MA. Family will receive friends from 4-8:00 PM Sunday evening at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to LeMoyne College, c/o Scott Barrett, Director of Development, 1419 Salt Springs Rd., Syracuse, NY 13214.
