STACY, Julie Lynn, age 48, passed away August 2, 2012 in her home in Laurel, MD due to complications from Multiple Sclerosis. She was born June 7th, 1964 in Dayton, OH to John and Mary Burnett. She attended Northmont High School in Clayton, OH through her junior year, and graduated from Kettering Fairmont High School in Kettering, OH. She earned an AutoCad Certification from Rhodes Community College and graduated from Sinclair Community College with an Associates Degree in Biology. Julie had been working on her Bachelors' Degree through the University of Maryland until health issues prevented her from continuing. Julie worked as a Civil Engineering Surveyor with PEA in Dublin, OH, then as an AutoCAD Drafter and Designer with RD Zande and Associates in Columbus, OH. In her teen years, she was a cadet with the Civil Air Patrol. Julie home-schooled her daughters through their elementary grade years. A dedicated Army wife, she served as a member and Secretary of the 412th Civil Affairs Battalion Family Readiness Group and a member and Treasurer of the 450th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) Family Readiness Group and assisted those organizations through several unit deployments. Julie was proudly a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by her husband, Lieutenant Colonel Steven E. Stacy; her parents of Spencerville, OH; her brothers John and Clayton Burnett; her daughters, Holly Renee Rieger and Katurah Shane Steil; grandchildren Kevin and Luna Steil; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held in Maryland at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Ave., Laurel, MD. A second funeral will be held in Ohio on Friday, August 10, at 11:00am at Woodland Cemetery Chapel, 118 Woodland Avenue, Dayton, OH with burial to follow in Woodland cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at nationalmssociety.org.
