June A. Bohannon

BOHANNON, June A., age 81, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023. June was born December 28, 1941 in Vandalia, Ohio; the daughter of the late, Frank Joseph and Catherine Marie (Richards) Panstingel. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann Ellis; and brothers, Steve, Larry, Francis, Kenneth, Tim, and Herman Panstingel. June is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Jimmy Bohannon; children, Ronald (Laura) Bohannon, Russell (Stacey) Bohannon, and Rachelle Bohannon; grandchildren, Joshua (Brittney) Braden, Nicholas Braden, Andrew Bohannon, Sam Bohannon, Nathan Bohannon, and Owen Bohannon; great-grandchildren, Miles and Tatem Braden; sister, Dianna (Thurman) Ferryman; and numerous extended family members and friends.

June was an alumni and graduate of Stivers High School in 1959. She married the love of her life, Jimmy, in 1960. June was devoted to her family and especially family oriented. She never met a stranger and could be found making friends wherever she went and never hesitated to share a story with whoever would listen. June always had an open ear to listen as well as extend her hospitality and feed everyone around her. She will be dearly missed by her loving family.

A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, OH 45429. June will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of June.
