Katherine Jennie Eggleston

Katherine Jennie (nee Haggett) Eggleston, 96, passed away on November 29, 2013, at Heartland of Centerville. She was born on August 14, 1917, in Louisville, New York, the daughter of Charles Reuben and Hattie (nee Hosmer)Haggett. On September 19, 1939, she married Oswald D. Eggleston and lived most of her life in Rochester, New York, and Winter Haven, Florida. Mrs. Eggleston is survived by three sons: Charles H. (Janet) Eggleston of Chesterfield, Missouri, Robert G. (Marcia) Eggleston of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Gary L. (Karlene) Eggleston of Oakdale, Minnesota. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Brian R. (Shannon) Eggleston of Union, Kentucky, Jeffrey T. Eggleston of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carrie L. Eggleston of Fox Lake, Illinois, Michael C. (Melissa) Eggleston of St. Louis, Missouri and Lisa M. (Michael) Elstro of Chesterfield, Missouri; and six great-grandchildren, Emily and Jack Eggleston, Olivia and Nora Eggleston, and Megan and Julia Elstro. She is also survived by two brothers, Charles and Reginald Haggett of California. In addition to her parents, and husband of 57 years, Katherine was preceded in death by three brothers, Vernon, Lyle and Leslie and two sisters, Olive and Irene. A private service will be held at the Routsong Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
