STOCK, Katherine Louise, age 79, of Miami Township, OH passed away on January 21, 2016. Born on July 14, 1936 in Delaware County, OH and survived by her husband of 57 years, Otto, a retired attorney.
Katherine graduated from Delaware-Willis High School and Ohio Wesleyan University where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. Katherine was an elementary teacher in Columbus Public Schools for 6 years and taught in Ann Arbor, MI and Lyme, NH. She resided in Montgomery County for 44 years. After moving to Dayton, she wrote numerous cat stories published in national pet magazines.
Katherine traced her maternal ancestry to the era before the American Revolution and visited many Virginia plantation homes of the country's founders. Her Aunt, Hortense, was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. If she had known of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America, they would have welcomed her with open arms.
A committal of remains will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Radnor Cemetery in Delaware County, OH.
