CREEL, Kathleen Mae “Katie” (Potter), age 85 of Walnut Creek Nursing Center passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2007. Katie was a school teacher in Kettering and Centerville for 18 years. She achieved bronze level ballroom dancing status at Fred Astaire Dance Studio. Katie was also a Real Estate Broker for 12 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lilah Dell and Loren Ray Potter and daughter, Linda Jean Creel. Katie is survived by her children, Michael (Paula) Creel of Ft. Wayne IN; Thomas (Marti) Creel of Kettering, Kathy Creel Prosser of Kettering; daughter-in-law Gerri Creel of Centerville; grandchildren, Ron (Nancy) Creel, Chris (Stephani) Creel, Jennifer and Allison Creel, Amanda (Scott) Green and Chris Prosser; step-granddaughter, Ryan and Leah Valentine; great-grandchildren, Kyle Dunn, Shaina, Malia, and Jayden Creel, Aayden Green; step-grandchildren, Ryan and Leah Valentine; sister, Ruth Ann McDonough; brother, Donald (Connie) Potter and Jim (Marlys) Potter and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to special friends Ken and Shirley Carpenter for all of their love and support. Also, a special thanks to the nurses, caregivers, and friends at Walnut Creek Nursing Home and Hospice of Dayton. A memorial service will be held 1 PM on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time.
