BANGERTER, Kathryn V. (Mack) age 101, formerly of Oakwood, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2002 at Laurelwood Assisted Living Center. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 48 years, Carl J. Bangerter, and her brother, Edward G. Mack. Survivors are her niece, Margie Mack Yowell and her husband Everett of Miami Township; her cousin Robert Mack and his wife Icea of Brookville; her sister-in-law, Nina M. Bangerter of Auburn, CA; and grand nieces and nephews, also of CA. Kay was born in Dayton, lived on Dorothy Lane until her parents, feeling they were too far in the country, built a house on Irving Ave., in the Schantz Historic District, where she resided for 85 years. She was a long time member of St. John's United Church of Christ. Margie and Everett want to thank Orena Dunn and Christine Goans, her loving companions, as well as Jonathan Carl and the rest of the staff of Laurelwood who contributed in so many ways to make her years there so pleasant. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2002 at 12:00 noon in the Routsong Funeral Home 6 Oakwood Ave. at Irving. Reverend Mark Moore officiating. Burial in David's Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11-12:00 noon in the funeral home. If desired, contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, 515 E.
