DUNCAN, Ken Sr., age 59, of Kettering, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Ken was born August 15, 1959, to the late Elbert and Janie Duncan, in Durham, NC. He joined the Navy in 1977 and served for over 22 years as a diesel engineer. He retired in May of 2000 at the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Ken and his family relocated to Dayton, where he worked at Kettering Medical Center as an IT Administrator. He had many passions in life including classic movies, traveling, and football (especially UC Bearcats and Miami Dolphins); but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and loved ones. Ken loved having guests in his home and was well known for his great steak dinners. He had a big heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Stephanie Duncan; daughters, Sydney (William Krietzer) Burns and Chante (Phil) Drasdis; son, Jeff (Bethany Reilmann) Duncan; grandchildren, Valorie and Catherine Krietzer, Zavier Lyvers, Tristen Burns, and Luke Drasdis; brother Garry (Mila) Duncan; and numerous extended family and friends.
