Kenneth Eugene Kautz

KAUTZ, Kenneth Eugene, age 91, of Kettering, passed away on January 2, 2024. Kenneth was born on October 7, 1932 in Cameron, TX to the late Chaplain George and Geneva (Borgfeld) Kautz.

He graduated from Fairview High School in 1951 and was a member of the Ohio Air National Guard (1951-59). Kenneth retired from the City of Dayton’s Water Engineering Dept. in 1988. He loved NASCAR races and watching all kinds of sporting events.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Sue; daughter, Debra Ann; brother, George R. and his grandson, Stephen Mills.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Margaret; children, Lisa (Jim) Johnson, Elaine Mills, Ann Brough and Michael (Jennifer) Kautz; grandchildren, Jennifer Fine, Tyler (Leighann) Johnson, Julie (Austin) Herring, Corey (Kylie) Johnson, Kaylan Mills, Clair Kautz, Emily LaForges, Samuel LaForges, Joseph Kautz, and Andrew Kautz; great-grandchildren, Lily Fine, Eli Fine, Rosaleigh Johnson, Rocky Johnson, Penny Johnson, Scarlett Herring, Jameson Herring, Sloane Herring, Felix Dawson, Lylah Shepard, and Lainey Johnson. 

Family will greet friends 6-8PM on Monday, January 8 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E Stroop Rd, Kettering. Funeral services will be held the following day at 11AM with a visitation beginning at 10AM at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 9100 N Main St, Englewood, 45415. Burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, Dayton.
