FLAYLER, Kenneth C. (Kenny), age 75, of Springboro, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014. Kenny was born on January 4, 1939 in Dayton to the late Caryles and Carrie Flayler.
He worked for GM, Delphi, and Dorothy Lane Market and was a member of Eagles 321. Kenny was very witty and always had a great comeback. He was a man's man who never met a stranger and constantly put others before himself. Kenny enjoyed attending classic car shows and traveling to Atlanta, which was a special place to him.
He is preceded in death by his sons, Allen (Tatar) Flayler and Chuck Flayler; brother, Ronnie Flayler; and sisters, Barb Ward and Dianna Wallish; favorite uncle Tom Mountjoy; grandmother, Katie Flayler and Grandpa Mountjoy. Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Soni Flayler, who after a three month courtship were married. Kenny is also survived by his daughter, Tonja (Greg) Baker; grandchildren, Ambyr and Cole Baker; siblings, Ted (Theresa) Flayler, Connie (Lee) Kennell, Jackie (Gary) Goubeaux, Leslie (Rick) Mooneyham, and Jeff (Karen) Flayler; special aunt, Nancy Mountjoy; special friends, Gary and Wilma Inman; his buddy Rita; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins including special cousin, Jodi Snyder.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. Family will greet friends two hours before the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206.
