May 22, 1933 — April 5, 2004

MARTIN, Kent, a 30 year resident of Dayton, died on April 5, 2004 at the age of 70 at his home in Hilton Head, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Russell Martin. Mr. Martin is survived by his wife of 47 years, Faye; daughters, Karin Martin and Mindy Martin Weigel and her husband, Breck, both of Cincinnati, as well as two grandchildren, Matthew and Gretchen Weigel. Mr. Martin was born and raised in Middletown, OH. After graduation from the Ohio State University in 1957, where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, he returned to Middletown where he worked for the Sorg Paper Company until he retired as a senior executive in 1992. Mr. Martin was an avid golfer and devoted Ohio State Football fan. But more than anything, he was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughters and grandchildren. He was a contributor to his community and touched the lives of all who had the pleasure to know him. A memorial service in his honor will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Oakwood. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Heart Association, 24 N. Jefferson St., Dayton, OH 45402, or the charity of your choice.
