Kevin R. Smith

SMITH, Kevin R., age 57, of Kettering, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014. He was born in Dayton, OH on January 3, 1957. Kevin worked for the City of Kettering for over 32 years. Known to many as "Smitty", Kevin never met a stranger. He loved to tell a good story and make people laugh. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, camping, trap shooting and watching NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Smith and beloved wife, Bonnie. Kevin is survived by his father, Grant Smith; brother, Steve (Susan) Smith; nieces, Tina and Dana; step-nephew, William; step-niece, Lisa; step-daughter, Christy Sierecki; grandchildren, Courtney, Shelby, Kayla and Brandon; 2 great-grandsons; and his special friend, Donna Magin. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 7:00 pm at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering. Family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 pm prior to the service.
