Larry Gene Schoephoerster

SCHOEPHOERSTER, Larry Gene "Shep", passed away at age 67 in the loving arms of his family on October 7th, 2010 in his home. Born in Waterloo, Iowa- resident of Kettering. Preceded in death by his parents Grant and Marion Schoephoerster. Shep is survived by wife Anna Marie of 44 years, daughter Tina Shiverdecker (Scott), son Steve Schoephoerster (Jenny), 5 grandchildren Tess, Joel, Justin, Mason, and Brooke, brother Ronald Schoephoerster (Marlys), sister Karen Dix (Ron), and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Veteran of the US Army, experienced lathe operator for 44 years and retiring 30 years from General Motors/Delphi. Member of Ascension Church. Shep loved fishing, playing the slots, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 9th at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, from 9:30-11:00AM followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Corner Cupboard Charities.
