DUNNING, Lawrence Edward, age 65, of Clarksville passed away on August 8, 2013. He was born on May 13, 1948 in Dayton to the late Roy and Marie Dunning.
Lawrence served in the United States Army and worked for 40 years at DP&L. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0049 and the Utility Workers Union of America AFL-CIO.
Lawrence was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer and enjoyed raising and training beagles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah "Sally"; children, Jeffrey and Scott Dunning, Chris (Lisa) Downing and Angela (Jimmy) Aker; grandchildren, Krysten, Cory, Olivia and Kayla; great-grandson, Ryder; siblings, Barbara (Matt) Krizman, Michael (Mary) Dunning, Timothy (Connie) Dunning, Richard Dunning and Mary Jane Dunning; and niece, Lillian Dunning.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 N Mulberry St., Wilmington. Family will greet friends for one hour prior, beginning at 10:00am, also at the church.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Dayton for all their care and compassion.
