Lennon Erik Meyer

August 18, 1982 — December 22, 2018

MEYER, Lennon E., age 36, of Kettering, OH left his body on Saturday, December 22, 2018. Lennon was born on August 18, 1982 in Kettering. He attended Fairmont High School class of 2001, and went on to earn his B.S in Welding Engineering from The Ohio State University. Lennon worked at Kings Bay Naval Base, in Georgia, designing welds for nuclear submarines. He relocated to Ohio in 2012 to work for Emerson in Sidney, Ohio. A warm and genuine soul, Lennon was nearly always unconventional in his life path; from his humor, his hair, his art, to his journey to finish this Earthly presence. He had many friends who were his brothers and sisters, along with his true sister, Lily, that he cherished and loved. Lennon’s vision was seldom obvious to those of us who watched, were invited to participate in, or were simply caught in the swirl of charisma. In the past eight months his family and friends have been with him on this final journey that seemed to have a different direction on many occasions. Lennon seldom wavered on knowing how this would end. It would be Lennon, painting his life’s ending and new birth, teaching us along the way about determination, the love of family and friendships, about not compromising your path to transition. His light will always be seen around us and in the skies beautiful colors morning and evening. The Prophecy waiting on his pillow to catch a moment of his spiritual essence. He is everywhere now, his energy back in the universe.

Lennon was preceded in death by his maternal Grandfather, Frank Zacharias; paternal Grandparents, Clarence Meyer, Betty and John Frey. He is survived by his parents Laurie and Phil Ruscillo; father, John Meyer; sister, Lily (Christian Roerig) Meyer; grandparents, Helen Zacharias, Phil and Gerry Ruscillo; and faithful cats, The Prophecy, Leeloo, and Tarunga.
